Can I create a custom polo design?

How does the custom tool work?
Choose the product you want to customise, select the leather and finish, choose your pattern and then customise the colours. You can zoom in and switch to the reverse view while designing. Finally, choose your metalwork, size and personalised initials where available.
Your progress is saved automatically, so you can return to your design later. Creating an account also allows you to save multiple designs and share them with friends or family.
How long will it take to make my custom polo design?
Can I personalise a belt with custom initials?
Yes. Two or three embossed initials can be added to belts made from brown, black or tobacco waxed stirrup leather. This option is not currently available on Carpincho or suede leather belts.
Adding initials to an in-stock belt may add around 5–10 working days to the delivery time and costs £8 per belt. Initials are included free with a Custom Design.

How long will it take to ship my item?
Standard and Economy orders placed before 2pm UK time are normally dispatched the same day. Express orders placed before 12pm UK time are also normally dispatched the same day.
Some products require additional production or handling time:
- International orders may need up to 24 hours before dispatch
- Special Edition and Custom Designs can take 2-4 weeks to make, plus delivery
- Some dog collar and lead sizes are made to order and can take 2-4 weeks
- Belt sizes of 115cm and above may take 2-6 weeks depending on leather availability
- Adding personalised initials to an in-stock belt may add 5-10 days
If there is an issue with availability or sizing, Estribos will keep you updated
How will my order come packaged?
How do I track my order?
You will receive a shipping confirmation email once your order has been dispatched.
For UK orders, tracking information will normally be sent directly by Royal Mail or Parcel2Go by email or text. International customers will receive shipping or tracking updates from the relevant courier.
It is worth checking your junk folder, as tracking messages may come directly from Royal Mail, Parcel2Go, Transglobal Express, FedEx or UPS. All orders are sent using insured and tracked services.
Will I have to pay import duties or customs fees on my order?
Products are handmade in Argentina and normally dispatched to customers from the UK.
- UK deliveries have no additional duties or fees on arrival
- US deliveries currently have duties and customs charges included within the shipping fee at checkout
- Other international destinations may be subject to local duties or import fees, which are the customer’s responsibility
Customers outside the UK should check their local customs requirements before ordering.
How do I exchange my Estribos goods?
There is no time limit on exchanges and you do not need a receipt, provided the item is unused and remains in saleable condition.
For UK exchanges, return the item with your contact details, return address and details of the exchange required to:

The item remains your responsibility until Estribos receives it, so using an insured, recorded delivery service is recommended.
International customers should contact Estribos before returning anything so the correct customs and shipping process can be arranged. In-person exchanges can also be arranged by appointment.

How do I know if I am buying the right size?
When buying for yourself or your dog, Estribos recommends measuring an existing well-fitting belt, dog collar or hat.
For belts and collars, the size shown in centimetres refers to the measurement of the hole you use, rather than the full length of the item.
If you’re buying a gift, there is a comprehensive sizing guide available to help you choose. Non-custom stock can also be exchanged with no time limit, provided it is returned unused.
How do I order a size that is not available online?
Estribos currently offers 15 belt sizes, 8 dog collar sizes and 11 hat sizes, but custom sizes can also be made.
Whether you need a larger hat or dog collar, or a belt size between the standard options, contact Estribos with your requirements and they can arrange it for you.
Do you make belts for children?
How do I care for my Estribos goods?
All Estribos products are individually handmade using high-quality Argentine leathers and are inspected in Buenos Aires before shipping, then checked again before being dispatched to the customer.
The products use natural, vegetable-tanned leather. Because this is a natural material and traditional tanning methods are used, small markings and variations can occur. These are part of the character of the leather rather than defects.
The products are designed to last and can be maintained over time. Estribos also provides dedicated care instructions with guidance for looking after each product.

Who are Estribos?
Estribos is a family-run Argentine brand focused on craftsmanship, quality and personal service.
The Smith family brought Estribos to the UK in 2004 and have since showcased their products at events including Burghley Horse Trials, Cowdray Park Polo Club and Cheltenham Races.
The business is still run by the family, with founder Marcus and his daughter Sophie managing the day-to-day operations, customer enquiries, events and quality control.
What is a polo belt?
The distinctive polo belt pattern is based on the traditional Mapuche Guarda Pampa design from Argentina.
The symmetrical pattern is said to represent the reflection of the Andes in the lakes, while different colours and patterns historically represented different areas and communities.
The design later became incorporated into Argentine gaucho culture and is now strongly associated with polo belts.
What makes Estribos unique?
Estribos focuses on traditional craftsmanship, quality materials and small-scale production.
